What is a weighted blanket?
Think of a weighted blanket as a therapeutic relaxation and sleep device, because it's not made for warmth like we would think of for a regular blanket. It is not meant to hold you down, and you can pull the blanket back like you would with a regular blanket, only it's heavier.
What is it filled with?
The Cozy Calm weighted blanket is filled with medical-grade plastic beads, which are in a liner that is sewn at intervals so the beads don't slosh around. The soft covering is sewn to the liner.
How do you wash it?
Believe it or not, they are machine wash/dry on cold! With the heavier blankets, it's easier and less wear and tear on your dryer, if you hang it up to dry.
What fabric do you use?
We use a high-quality, super soft, low-pile softress fabric, which is as soft as the name implies. It is stain-resistant and pet-hair/lint resistant. The fabric is not that warm, so you may need a comforter under your weighted blanket for sleeping.
How much does the shipping cost?
It's free! We ship free by Fedex to the continental U.S addresses. Shipping has to be paid for orders to Alaska, Hawaii, military addresses, and Canada.

If your blanket is not the right weight, we send you a prepaid return address label, and once we receive the blanket, we make a new one in the right weight for you. How do I know what weight to choose?
See our weight chart, and choose from the most popular weights. Of the popular weights, err on the side of lighter. If you have a joint disorder, choose even lighter.
Where are they made?
Cozy Calm weighted blankets are professionally made at our shop in Minnesota. We use high quality commercial grade fabric that is sewn with industrial strength thread on industrial sewing machines. Our professional sewers have prior commercial sewing shop experience an have been with Cozy Calm for four years or more, and they do take pride in their work.
