Thank you so much for offering a hospital grade fluid-proof fabric for the weighted blankets.
Many individuals with mental health disturbances also have a co-occuring sensory processing disorder.
A couple of years ago, we began using regular weighted blankets [from a different supplier] that we washed in between patient use. These blankets are now falling apart.
We love the new hospital grade fabric that can be cleaned with germicide in between patient use. These blankets will last much longer, and will be able to greatly impact more patients.
I love your quick turnaround time as well. The previous blankets I ordered took 3-6 months to arrive. Your blankets arrived within 2 weeks; I was pleasantly surprised!
Since we began using weighted blankets on our inpatient mental health units, we have seen a drastic decline in the use of seclusion and restraint, as well as safety sitters.
Some of the common themes we hear from patients are that they feel calmer, more grounded, safe and secure, centered, improved concentration, decreased stress and anxiety, as well as having improved sleep. The patients are very interested in learning about their sensory processing disorder and request reading materials to increase their understanding.
The patients are also receptive to utilizing additional sensory tools to positively impact their quality of life.
